Khutbah (Sermon) begins at 12:15 pm (first shift) and at 1:15 pm (second shift)

The mosque at the Islamic Center of Scranton is currently open in a limited manner. There are two shifts of Friday prayer, one beginning at 12:15 pm and the other one at 1:15 pm. 
Considering the state and local safety guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following safety protocols are under effect. You are required to adhere to these protocols and take safety precautions whenever you are on the mosque premises. 
1. The number of attendees is limited to 30 (in each shift), on a first come first served basis.
2. If Friday prayer is not obligatory upon you, avoid coming to the mosque.
3. Community members over the age of 65 are strongly discouraged from attending the services at the masjid. 
       (An exception may be made for Imams and other volunteers as they are difficult to be found)
4. If you have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher or are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, do not come to the mosque.
5. A temperature check is in effect at the entrance.
6. Wearing a face mask is mandatory.
7. Please maintain at least 6 ft of distance. 
8. Please try to stay at the designated spots in a row.
9. You are encouraged to bring your own prayer rug.
10. Using the mosque restrooms is highly discouraged at this time. Perform ablution (Wudu) at home.

The mosque at the University of Scranton is currently closed.

Get directions through Google Maps. The Mosque is located on "1509 West Pass Avenue, Scranton, PA 18508". There are limited number of parking spots next to the Mosque. Parking at the adjacent baseball field can also be used. Please, avoid double parking on the street to avoid inconveniencing the local traffic. Please, do not block driveways under any circumstances!
